
A country with strong labour laws is often a country where workers have strong bargaining rights in employment, which usually means workers are paid well.
We came across a story a few weeks ago, about how Tesla, the US Electric car manufacturer, had gotten into trouble in Denmark because the Danish dockworkers had joined industrial action in sympathy with Swedish Mechanics, who were already on strike for some weeks against Tesla:
