The video below, which I recently watched is a perfect example of the type of strategies which content creators and youths in Malawi can use to get their content viral and viewed by a larger audience across the world…
A cover of Benny Benassi’s popular song ‘Satisfaction’, it’s simple and as would be expected silly(it’s comedy after all 😅), but it’s genius, and very effective.
The video, which was uploaded in September has already been liked 2.9 million times. It was made by Les Fo’ Plafonds, who are a French comedy group that creates humorous music videos using household objects as musical instruments. So this probably wouldn’t cost much to enact. I’d imagine the investment is in the skill to train adequately to create a convincing sound.
Their videos often feature catchy tunes and clever arrangements, with the performers demonstrating impressive musical skills and comedic timing, often playing Covers of popular songs.
The group’s YouTube channel is a popular destination for fans of their unique brand of humor, with millions of views across their videos. They also have a significant following on Instagram, where they share behind-the-scenes footage, photos, and short clips.
