Political Cartoons

Cartoons often say the unsaid. Or emphasize what has already been said so many times.

Following Malawi’s Election, we’ll see many political cartoons being published in the coming few days. We’ll also see digital caricatures, some made by AI which try to make sense of the situation.

Nevertheless, many of them augment commentary on political discourse, either by showing the absurdities of certain situations, or by revealing excesses, mocking, or making fun of powerful politicians and their advisers, accomplices, etc.

Cartoons are without a doubt a necessary aspect of political discourse.

These below are not all related to Malawi….
